Greetings from my frozen feet
So I just got back from Kerr with this:
So me and J green screened and did this in After Effects... I don't know the program very well but I am going to learn it. Hopefully the reall thing will read better and have better... more natural movements.
P.S. I should have worn socks.

The Voices!
We have officially recorded all the voices! We are very happy with the results. Our next step is to get the animatic , sets, and characters all done so we can start animating.
The animatic will help us get an idea of what the film is going to be like and it also allows people to give us suggestions/comments on the story. So far we have done an animatic of the first section of the film, the "real" jungle scenes.
I also wish goodluck to everyone in 101A... write those papers!

arts alive
Yes! We are into the arts and crafts stage of production.
our artists are getting paint in their hair now!
We had been experiencing some turbulence in getting the actual art stlye of our film going, but after some refreshing delegation i "think" we're on track and moving at a steady pace.
besides that we are still trying to make our characters
ironically, weve had character designs this entire time, and they will prolly be the last to be made. sigh.

The Scale
Hey everyone. I have posted the scale that I found satisfying. The rack is where the shelf is placed (the numbers along the sides). Oh and sorry the dark photos but they still work for size.
THE CAMERA IS ON LEVEL "E"
Backgrounds and characters.
Framing only, maybe object/face close-ups.
Our little alligator friend is approximately 6 inches. Which is a good size.
Also auditions are this weekend and we finally get Mackenzie!
Also thanks to everyone who helped out Thursday night:

OMG
So the screenplay is now in the hands of Laura Palmer, a very talented writer, she has given us her heart and soul and it is mighty tasty. Besides that we are freaking out like obese children in tight diapers about our pitch which is not only 2 days away. As of yet we have no commited artists or animators which is ok, i mean we are going up against 2 or more other animation proposals, ours is a bit more complicated than theirs i think....hence the freaking out. But hey, i think we;re capable of it.
go to the pitches please. please.
love always. J.

Budget Sound.
well, now that finals are over we are going to work on the script again.
its looking pretty fun fun fun.
Also it is time to Budget. This is not going to be very fun, i hate economics.
Also it is time to Conceptualize. I am doing preliminary concepts and then probably getting an Art/Animation Supervisor/Director to keep the ball rollin.
Podjte Pane Baby. Podjte Pane.

"welcome to the rock!"
Goleta, CA- Sir Sean Connery has just signed on to his first animation role (playing himself) ever starring in a new secret disease production. Connery will star as himself in the psychedelic/surreal adventure tentativley titled "The Titan Sting Project" Producer J. Salvador was delighted with Sir Connery's enthusiasm. "Dude, i just asked him if he would like to play a tripped out version of himself on safari and he said why not? He said his middle name was 'tripped out', though i highly doubt thats the case."
Secret Disease is currently looking for artists and film technicians for the production which is hoping to be part of the UCSB Film Departments 106 production class. Adriana Blancarte has agreed to write and Direct the tripped out short.
p.s. you don't actually believe he is do you?
HEY LETS MAKE A MOVIE!
Attention Artist!
Interested in having your art featured in a film that will be viewed by hundreds of people and possibly make the rounds in the film festival circuit?
We are currently looking for artists interested in working on our Film Studies 106 production. We want this project to be an artistic collaboration and we are open to seeing what people have to offer. You may be enroll in the class and receive 4 units a quarter or just help out for fun.
The story follows a young girl named Mackenzie and her grandfather Sir Connery who are on a conquest to capture the Titan Bee which happens to have a hallucinogenic sting. Most of the story take place in the strange world of Mackenzie's hallucinogenic imagination. Which allows for an extreme amount of creative freedom.

The Stuff of Nightmares
LORE
The Project Lore was our first attempt at film making with actual film. The film originally started as a live action basketball game with a Battle Royale twist, but after our shooting schedule got rained out .... it was followed by a series of failed heroin overdoses that resulted in this:
Although the film did not turn out exactly like we had foreseen.. it turned into something. The process itself helped us learn a lot about film making.
And here are some fabulous production stills:
Here is one of the animation test:
